lemang is a typical food native Indonesia, in Sumatra lemang be the food that stout disliked because it tastes good. lemang usually made during the fasting month and serve iftar menu but make lemang the month of fasting is not a requirement for making lemang is not too difficult but it takes a little time.
Lemang is food made using glutinous rice cooked by using bamboo wrapped in banana leaves.
materials made lemang :
- 1 L of sticky rice
- 1 L coconut milk
- Salt
- 1 stick of bamboo shoots
- Banana leaf
How to make lemang :
- Glutinous rice wash clean and mix until sticky rice with coconut milk and salt and mix until blended.
- Put banana leaves into the bamboo with a rolled manner, as a coating or container glutinous rice in bamboo.
- After the bamboo leaves and try to put a banana leaf height exceeds the input high bamboo sticky rice that we mix with salt and coconut milk.
- Furthermore, bamboo fuels that already contains glutinous rice (lemang) with a slightly tilted position leading up to the fire.
